Sanaz Marefat (b. 1991) studied architecture before pursuing a career in art. After working with children at a children's arts and education institute, she moved into character design and illustration, working across digital and traditional media.
People and everyday life are central sources for her characters. Her experience in architecture, working with children, and motherhood to twins inform illustrations that observe, exaggerate, and gently satirize ordinary experiences.
